Workshops and Lamps at Diglis Island

Diglis Island is one of 4 lock islands between Worcester and Stourport. It was created in 1844 to help maintain the nearby canals and waterways along the Severn River.

We have restored the former 19th c lock and Weir workshops on Diglis to accommodate the artisans who make our resin lamps. Thanks to the Canal and River Trust the newly restored local workshop has been refurbished by us to create a new workplace to our craftsmen who apprenticed in mould-making and porcelain painting at Royal Worcester China. Each of our lamps is caste and finished by hand. Colours are inspired by nature and often based on hues and tones from minerals and historic pigments. Lamps are all wired with cloth flex and finished with a choice of hand made bookcloth lampshades also made by a small company in Kent.

Most of our lamps are made to order and we hold a small stock of each colourway.
